About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, data-driven, and trend-obsessed Social Media Manager to join our YouTube Gossip & Entertainment team. This role requires someone who deeply understands YouTube dynamics, thrives in the world of celebrity news, viral stories, and pop-culture buzz, and knows exactly how to grow and engage audiences.
You must be fluent in both French and English, with a proven track record of success on YouTube—meaning measurable growth, optimization strategies, or past channel achievements that back up your expertise.
A strong interest in gossip, entertainment, and trending topics is essential, along with the ability to identify what content resonates with French-speaking audiences.
We prefer candidates based in the French timezone (CEST) to ensure smooth collaboration with the rest of the team.
About you
Fluent in French and English — both are required.
Proven experience as a YouTube Specialist, with demonstrable past success (portfolio, metrics, case studies).
Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, retention strategies, metadata optimization, and audience behavior.
Interest in or familiarity with gossip, celebrity culture, entertainment, and trending topics.
Ability to identify viral stories and adapt content to maximize performance.
Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.
Creative thinker with initiative and good editorial judgment.
Main Assignments
Manage and optimize YouTube channels focused on gossip, celebrity news, and entertainment.
Build and implement content strategies that boost reach, retention, and audience engagement.
Spot trending stories, gossip updates, and viral topics relevant to a French-speaking audience.
Coordinate with editors, writers, and producers to ensure cohesive publishing workflows.
Analyze performance metrics (retention, CTR, RPM, traffic sources) and act on insights.
Write compelling titles, descriptions, and community posts in both French and English.
Ensure consistent branding, scheduling, and content pacing across the channel.
Stay up to date with YouTube trends, algorithm updates, and platform best practices.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Monthly Fee: USD $700
Payment: In two instalments, the month after services are provided
Contract Type: Service Contract – Independent Contractor
Modality: 100% Remote
Location: Ideally based in CEST timezone.
Bonus: Applicable quarterly by performance, up to $300USD.
