About the Role
We are seeking a highly creative and fast-paced Video Editor to join our content team, specifically focusing on high-energy, dynamic storytelling for Snapchat.
This role is perfect for an editor who understands the unique visual language of mobile-first platforms—knowing how to grab attention in the first second and maintain a breakneck pace throughout. You will be a key part of our production pipeline, turning raw rushes into polished, engaging stories for a global audience.
About you
Language: Fluent in French and English. Being able to understand and work with scripts in both languages is essential for this role.
Platform Expertise: Proven experience in creating Snapchat content or similar short-form, high-retention "dynamic" video styles.
Software Proficiency: Expert command of Adobe Premiere Pro.
Soft Skills: You are a hardworking team player with a "problem-solving" mindset. You stay cool under deadlines and take feedback constructively.
Bonus Points: A genuine interest in Sports or Celebrity Gossip is a significant plus, as it helps you identify the best "hooks" for the edit.
Main Assignments
This position is dedicated to the editing phase of our content cycle. While our broader team handles ideation, scriptwriting, and posting, your mission is to take the vision and execute it with technical precision and flair.
You will be responsible for producing 4 to 5 high-quality videos per week, each approximately 4 minutes in length. The content is fast-moving and requires an editor who can instinctively select the best rushes and assemble them into a compelling narrative.
Dynamic Snapchat Editing: Craft high-energy videos specifically optimized for Snapchat’s unique format and audience behavior.
Expert Asset Selection: Independently review and select the most impactful rushes to build a strong visual story.
Technical Execution: Build 4-minute edits from start to finish using Adobe Premiere Pro, ensuring seamless transitions and engaging pacing.
Iterative Refinement: Work closely with the "Checking" phase of our workflow, quickly implementing modifications or creative notes to perfect the final product.
Collaborative Workflow: Coordinate with the scriptwriters and coordinators to ensure the edit aligns with the original creative brief.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Monthly Fee: USD $800
Performance Bonus: Up to $300 quarterly based on performance.
Payment: Total billed for each month is paid via ACH/Wire in two installments (the 15th and 30th of the following month of the provision of the services).
Contract Type: Service Contract – Independent Contractor.
Modality: 100% Remote.
