About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and trend-savvy Video Editor to join our growing YouTube Gossip & Entertainment team. In this role, you will edit dynamic, fast-paced videos centered on celebrity news, viral moments, influencer stories, and pop-culture trends—primarily for a French-speaking audience.
You must be fluent in French, comfortable in English, and able to work efficiently with scripts, fast turnarounds, and evolving trends. A proven track record of successful YouTube work is essential: we’re seeking someone who strongly understands YouTube pacing, storytelling, retention tactics, thumbnails best practices, and what makes entertainment content perform.
You will also participate in sourcing relevant gossip, trending topics, and B-roll to enrich each video and keep the content fresh, current, and competitive.

About you
Fluent French speaker (C1/C2) — essential.
Good command of English (at least B1/B2 for team communication).
Proven experience as a YouTube editor, with successful examples or references to back it up.
Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, hooks, pacing, retention, and metadata basics.
Ability to spot trending topics, gossip news, and viral moments relevant to French audiences.
Skilled at sourcing and integrating high-quality B-roll, images, and visual elements.
Advanced knowledge of industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred).
Creative, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with feedback and fast turnarounds.
Ideally based in a timezone close to France (CEST) for smoother collaboration.
Main Assignments
Edit gossip, celebrity, and entertainment-focused YouTube videos optimized for retention and watch time.
Craft strong storytelling through visuals, pacing, structure, and hook placement.
Source and integrate gossip updates, trending news, and high-quality B-roll.
Work closely with writers, producers, and strategists to align content with the channel’s tone and goals.
Adapt content based on editorial guidelines, staying consistent and detail-oriented.
Apply feedback quickly and effectively to ensure high-quality output.
Stay updated with YouTube trends, algorithm shifts, and competitive best practices.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Monthly Fee: USD $800
Quarterly performance bonus up to $300.
Payment: In two instalments, the month after services are provided
Contract Type: Service Contract – Independent Contractor
