About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and trend-focused Video Editor to join our YouTube Gossip & Entertainment team. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes online culture, understands the fast-moving world of celebrity news, and knows exactly how to craft edits that perform on YouTube.
The ideal candidate is an English native or fluent English speaker, with good French skills as a plus, and must have a strong, proven track record in YouTube editing—meaning successful channel results, examples of high-performing videos, or measurable impact on previous projects.
You will be responsible not only for editing but also for spotting gossip, sourcing viral stories, and finding relevant B-roll to enrich and elevate each video.
We welcome candidates based in Europe, the US, or LATAM for smooth team collaboration.
About you
Fluent English speaker (native-level or C1/C2).
Decent French skills (plus, not mandatory).
Proven successful experience on YouTube, backed by portfolio links, case studies, or metrics.
Deep understanding of YouTube editing, storytelling, hook strategy, retention, thumbnails, and metadata fundamentals.
Strong ability to find gossip, viral stories, trends, and relevant visual assets.
Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent professional tools).
Creative mindset, strong sense of timing, and excellent command of narrative structure.
Highly organized and comfortable working with feedback and fast-paced workflows.
Main Assignments
Edit gossip, celebrity, and entertainment-focused YouTube videos optimized for retention and watch time.
Craft strong storytelling through visuals, pacing, structure, and hook placement.
Source and integrate gossip updates, trending news, and high-quality B-roll.
Work closely with writers, producers, and strategists to align content with the channel’s tone and goals.
Adapt content based on editorial guidelines, staying consistent and detail-oriented.
Apply feedback quickly and effectively to ensure high-quality output.
Stay updated with YouTube trends, algorithm shifts, and competitive best practices.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Monthly Fee: USD $800
Quarterly performance bonus up to $300.
Payment: In two instalments, the month after services are provided
Contract Type: Service Contract – Independent Contractor
Modality: 100% Remote
Languages: English C1+ required; French preferred
