About the Role
We are looking for a highly specialized and detail-oriented YouTube CMS & Content ID Manager to join our team at LXD. This position sits directly at the intersection of YouTube platform operations, digital copyright protection, and asset monetization workflows.
This is not a content creation or video editing role. Instead, you will act as the technical and operational backbone of our digital rights ecosystem—managing back-end CMS environments, defending intellectual property, resolving ownership conflicts, and optimizing monetization strategies for both internal operations and our strategic partners.
About you
Platform Specialist: Deep, verifiable experience working directly within the YouTube Content Manager (CMS) backend and operating YouTube Content ID system mechanics. YouTube Rights Management/Asset Monetization certification is highly valued.
Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of digital copyright management, fair use parameters, online media licensing, and platform-specific compliance criteria. A background or interest in IP and media law is a huge plus.
Analytical & Precise: Possess high attention to detail to catch asset overlap, metadata inconsistencies, and false-positive claims before they impact channel health.
Language Proficiency: Fluent, high-level written and spoken English is mandatory for partner communications, system documentation, and dispute handling. French is a plus!
Collaborative: Able to seamlessly coordinate with cross-functional departments, translating complex technical rights issues into clear, actionable advice for editorial teams.
Main Assignments
YouTube CMS Administration: Manage user access permissions, administer partner accounts, and maintain accurate metadata across our network assets.
Content ID & Policy Configuration: Reference digital files, build Content ID assets, and fine-tune global ownership, territory restrictions, and monetization policies.
Claims & Dispute Resolution: Review, analyze, and process claims, handle ownership conflicts, clear false positives, and evaluate complex counter-notifications.
Content Protection & Risk Mitigation: Track unauthorized re-uploads, audit overclaiming risks, and design defensive strategies to avoid platform strikes and compliance friction.
Partner Support & SOP Development: Act as the technical point of contact for external partners, troubleshoot rights management conflicts, and build formal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Compensation & Benefits
Base Monthly Fee: USD $1,000 – $1,100 (finalized depending on profile depth and system experience).
Payment: Total billed for each month is paid via ACH/Wire in two installments (the 15th and 30th of the following month).
Contract Type: Service Contract – Independent Contractor.
Modality: 100% Remote.
