About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and empathetic Journalist / Guest Producer to join the Unfiltered Stories team — a YouTube channel dedicated to real people, powerful testimonies, and social issues from around the world.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the storytelling process: identifying and booking guests, conducting pre-interviews, and ensuring that every story shared aligns with our editorial vision and ethical standards. You’ll work closely with both the production team and editorial leads to bring authentic, impactful human stories to life.
This position requires strong organizational skills, emotional intelligence, and a genuine interest in social issues and survivor stories.
About you
Strong communication and interviewing skills, with the ability to create trust and comfort with guests.
Highly organized, autonomous, and proactive in guest research and scheduling.
Deep interest in social issues, human rights, and survivor stories.
Advanced English level required (both written and spoken).
French is a plus.
Detail-oriented, empathetic, and discreet when handling sensitive information.
Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced international environment.
Main Assignments
Casting, Sourcing & Editorial Evaluation
Research and source guests aligned with the editorial direction of Unfiltered Stories, including sourcing specialized guests for L.A.-based shoots.
Reach out to potential guests and thoroughly evaluate the relevance, suitability, and compliance of their stories.
Conduct remote pre-interviews and deep-dive interviews using internal recording tools.
Conduct direct calls with guests whenever necessary to address questions, clarify details, and provide onboarding support.
Ensure all guests strictly meet all editorial, legal, and safety requirements.
Maintain a consistent, proactive casting pipeline to support monthly production goals.
Contracts & Financial Coordination: Support other members of the team
Prepare formal guest contracts, handling specialized contract execution for L.A.-based guests.
Manage and update master payment spreadsheets with complete accuracy.
Own the payment communication loop by sending professional payment notification emails to guests.
Production, Documentation & Team Integration
Fully coordinate your guests' schedules with the rest of the operational team.
Communicate directly and continuously with guests to manage their expectations.
Prepare mandatory photo documentation and assets required for production.
Deliver detailed post-interview brief documents to the video editing team to guide the narrative cut.
Maintain direct communication lines and provide dedicated operational support to Molly.
Act as the central anchor for information flow, seamlessly coordinating updates between guests, production, and editorial teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly Fee: USD $800
Bonus: Up to $300 quarterly, based on performance and guest acquisition results.
Payment: The payment for the total billed each period is paid in two equal amounts, via ACH or Wire transfer in the 15th and 30th days of the month following the provision of the services.
