About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and empathetic Journalist / Guest Producer to join the Unfiltered Stories team — a YouTube channel dedicated to real people, powerful testimonies, and social issues from around the world.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the storytelling process: identifying and booking guests, conducting pre-interviews, and ensuring that every story shared aligns with our editorial vision and ethical standards. You’ll work closely with both the production team and editorial leads to bring authentic, impactful human stories to life.

This position requires strong organizational skills, emotional intelligence, and a genuine interest in social issues and survivor stories.

About you

  • Strong communication and interviewing skills, with the ability to create trust and comfort with guests.

  • Highly organized, autonomous, and proactive in guest research and scheduling.

  • Deep interest in social issues, human rights, and survivor stories.

  • Advanced English level required (both written and spoken).

  • French is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented, empathetic, and discreet when handling sensitive information.

  • Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced international environment.

Main Assignments

  • Source and research guests for the channel’s interviews, focusing on people with compelling real-life stories.

  • Present and pitch guest selections to Adrien’s team for validation.

  • Conduct pre-interviews to assess guest suitability, relevance, and emotional readiness.

  • Verify background information, ensuring guests are not involved in ongoing legal proceedings.

  • Record interviews using the company’s designated tool, ensuring high-quality audio/video capture.

  • Attend weekly team meetings to align on priorities and progress.

  • Participate in casting and production meetings (at least once a month) to coordinate with the larger production team.

  • Organize performance reviews or refocus sessions when needed to evaluate outreach and research efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Monthly Fee: USD $800

  • Bonus: Up to $300 quarterly, based on performance and guest acquisition results.

  • Payment: The payment for the total billed each period is paid in two equal amounts, via ACH or Wire transfer in the 15th and 30th days of the month following the provision of the services.

  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor

  • Work Modality: Fully Remote
