About the Role
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and reliable Video Editor to take ownership of the video editing and post-production pipeline for our Crime Team. This role is designed for someone who thrives in the True Crime and Mystery genre, possesses strong narrative storytelling instincts, and knows how to create high-retention, visually captivating YouTube content.

About the Role
In this position, you will own the full post-production workflow for our Crime YouTube channels. You will be responsible for logging rushes, building clean assembly cuts, designing immersive motion graphics, integrating archival visual assets, and delivering polished, platform-ready videos that keep audiences engaged from start to finish.
You will also work closely with our editorial team to edit high-performing vertical YouTube Shorts derived from long-form episodes to maximize total channel reach.
About you
Language Skills: Bilingual in French and English (required for script comprehension and multi-language content workflows).
Location & Modality: 100% Remote (based in the MENA region).
Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects with 2+ years of experience editing long-form YouTube content.
Domain Interest: Deep understanding of the True Crime, mystery, and documentary YouTube style and pacing.
Emotional Resilience: Comfortable handling, reviewing, and editing sensitive material inherent to the True Crime genre.
Soft Skills: Highly organized, open and receptive to creative feedback, proactive communicator, and committed to maintaining high production standards under tight deadlines.
Main Assignments
End-to-End Post-Production Pipeline: Lead the video editing workflow: Download Rushes → Multicam Logging & Assembly Cut → Motion Graphics & Visual Effects → Audio Levelling & Pacing → Client Review & Refinements → Final Export.
Long-Form & Short-Form Editing: Deliver 1 long-form YouTube documentary video per week along with corresponding high-retention YouTube Shorts.
Motion Graphics & Visual Packaging: Design engaging visual overlays, lower thirds, map animations, and graphic callouts using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Atmospheric Pacing & Sound Design: Select appropriate background scores and sound effects to build suspense and match the narrative arc of True Crime storytelling.
Workflow & Asset Management: Maintain organized project files, adhere strictly to production deadlines, and integrate feedback efficiently during review rounds.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Monthly Fee: USD $800
Quarterly performance bonus up to $300.
Payment: In two instalments, the first paid the 15th and the second the 30th of the month following the provision of the services
