About the Role
We’re looking for skilled and creative video editors who can craft high-quality, engaging videos for YouTube audiences. You’ll work closely with content creators, producers, and strategists to deliver visually compelling content that maximizes watch time, engagement, and channel growth.
The ideal candidate understands YouTube’s platform-specific standards, storytelling techniques, and audience behavior, and can take a project from raw footage to polished, platform-ready video — always optimizing for retention and viewer satisfaction.
About you
3+ years of professional video editing experience
Excellent eye for detail and ability to enhance storytelling through visuals and pacing
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Ability to take feedback constructively and implement it effectively
Eager to stay updated with YouTube trends, formats, and creative innovations
Main Assignments
Editing videos (average length: 8–15 minutes) for YouTube according to content strategy and brand style
Applying storytelling techniques to maximize viewer retention and engagement
Adding graphics, subtitles, transitions, intros, and outros in line with the channel’s visual identity
Optimizing audio and video quality (color grading, sound balancing, etc.)
Exporting and delivering videos in the correct formats and resolutions for YouTube
Collaborating with creative and strategy teams to ensure consistency and quality
Compensation & Benefits
Base Monthly Fee: USD $800
Payment: In two instalments, the month after services are provided
Contract Type: Service Contract – Independent Contractor
Modality: 100% Remote
Languages: English C1+ required; French preferred
